01 — The fleet

Four marques. One garage. None of it is yours, and that is the point.

Ownership is the worst way to drive interesting cars. You buy one, you watch it lose money, and you drive it on the same road every Friday. Members book from the fleet, take the car for as long as it stays interesting, and hand it back for something else.

  • Ferrari

    Front-engined V12s and the mid-engined cars that replaced them. Kept on the correct tyres.

  • Lamborghini

    Naturally aspirated where it still exists. Loud on purpose, and unapologetic about it.

  • Porsche

    The ones that matter — GT3, GT3 RS, Turbo S. Manual where the car deserves a manual.

  • McLaren

    Carbon tubs and hydraulic steering. The closest thing to the paddock on a public road.

02 — The calendar

Membership is a fleet and a calendar. The calendar is invitation only.

Every member gets the fleet. Not every member gets every invitation — the list for each event is drawn by the club, and it is short.

    A jet out of DWC on the Friday, the harbour on the Sunday, back before Monday.

  • Track days that run late

    The circuit booked out, our cars, our tyres, and no one asking you to slow down.

  • Dawn drives to Hatta

    Out of the city before it wakes up. Twelve cars, one road, breakfast at the end of it.

03 — The gate

There is no sign-up. There is an application, and it is refused more often than it is accepted.

The club is small on purpose. A fleet this size only works if the people driving it care about the cars more than they care about being seen in them.

    You apply

    The form asks what you drive today, where you are based, and why Paddock. It takes a few minutes and it is read by a person.

  2. 02

    A sponsor moves you up

    Name a member who will vouch for you and your application is reviewed before the unsponsored ones. Without a sponsor you wait longer.

  3. 03

    You are approved, or you are not

    There is no appeal and no second form. Founding membership is capped; qualified applicants past the cap are held on the list.

04 — The application

Founding membership is capped. Apply while it still is.

Membership is by referral. Applications naming a sponsor are reviewed before those that do not. If a member has invited you, put their name here. If nobody has, leave it empty and apply anyway — it will simply take longer.
